Overview – Newbrook Lodge Nursing Home
Following the establishment of Newbrook Nursing Home in 1999, Newbrook Lodge opened its doors in 2008. It is a purpose built, spacious two-storey nursing home which can cater for 55 residents. Situated one mile from Mullingar Town Centre (behind Newbrook Nursing Home), it enjoys a countryside feeling and view of the canal.
Accommodation consists of 43 single and 6 double rooms with en-suite toilet and showering facilities, all fully furnished to a high standard. Bedrooms have their own television, phone point, reading lamp and nurse-on-call system.
Multiple day rooms and areas of interest are available for residents of all dependencies to enjoy. Upstairs is the Fountain Spring Day Room, looking down onto the canal and walkway. Here residents can happily sit watching people going for a walk along the canal or look out for ducks and other water birds passing by. There is also an enclosed garden with an array of interesting features, including our very own hens. It also has a fairy garden with wind chimes and other decorations that our residents enjoy making, along with flowers and vegetables.
We aim to provide a home from home for all our residents. We believe in a person-centred approach with a high standard of care. We encourage residents to be actively involved in their own care planning and activities programme and we respect the residents’ rights to self-determination, individuality, privacy and dignity. We look forward to welcoming you to Newbrook Lodge.
