Overview – Newbrook Nursing Home

Established in 1999, and the first of the Newbrook Group, Newbrook Nursing Home is a purpose-built care centre which can cater for 64 residents. Situated one mile from Mullingar Town Centre, it enjoys a countryside feeling and view of the canal.

Accommodation is comprised of 56 single rooms and 4 double rooms, all fully furnished to a high standard with disabled friendly en-suite toilet and showering facilities. Bedrooms also have their own television, phone point, reading lamp and nurse on call system. Residents are encouraged to bring in their treasured possessions and reminders of home to make the room their own.

There are multiple day rooms including ‘Canal View’ which, as the name suggests, looks out to the canal and ‘Sunshine Room’ which is bright, airy and full of sunshine. There is also an enclosed garden which provides a nice open space within the nursing home.

Our beautiful church serves both the residents and local community and is an integral part of the nursing home. Residents are welcome to attend Mass services here and use it as a place for prayer and quiet reflection.

We aim to provide a home from home for all our residents. We believe in a person-centred approach with a high standard of care. We encourage residents to be actively involved in their own care planning and activities programme and we respect the residents’ rights to self-determination, individuality, privacy and dignity.
